MULTI-DAY EVENTS

Multi-day virtual events: run a 5-day challenge, masterclass series or summit

A multi-day virtual event is one program delivered online over several days. People sign up once and come back each day. Here is how to plan one that people actually finish, and how Webinly runs it on the Scale plan.

What a multi-day virtual event is

It is a set of sessions offered as one thing. The audience registers once, gets a schedule, and is reminded before each day. Unlike a run of separate webinars, the days build on each other: day three assumes you saw day two, and finishing is a goal in itself.

The format suits results that do not fit in one hour, and buys several days of attention instead of one. The price is drop-off: fewer people turn up on the last day than the first, so plan for the people who fall behind, not only the ones who keep up.

Three common formats

FormatShapeWorks best when
5-day challengeFive short daily sessions, each ending with one task, and an offer on the last day.You can promise one concrete result within a week.
Masterclass seriesThree or four longer sessions that go deep on one topic, each building on the last. The subject is complex, or the product behind it is expensive.
Virtual summitSeveral talks presented as one event, often from guest speakers. You want reach, and each talk still makes sense on its own.

  • Same time, same length

Run every day at the same hour, for 30 to 60 minutes. A daily habit is easier to keep than a changing calendar.

  • Plan for the people who miss a day

Someone who misses day two quietly quits on day three unless something pulls them back: a missed-day email and a way to catch up before the next session.

  • Decide what counts as finishing

Mark which days are required. A bonus session or an open Q&A can be optional without making the finish line harder to reach.

  • Sell on the last day, not the first

An offer lands better after four days of results than as a promise on day one. The selling inside a webinar page covers timing the offer.

How Webinly runs a multi-day event

Multi-day events have their own Events section in Webinly. A six-step wizard builds each one: basics, days, registration page, pricing, emails, then review and publish. You pick Challenge, Masterclass or Summit; the type only changes the label attendees see.

  • One signup for every day

The event gets its own public page with your headline, subheadline, cover image and list of days, dressed in your brand kit. Visitors register once, and that one registration enrolls them in every day. Each day keeps its own reminders and attendance record.

  • Live or video, day by day

Each day is a live broadcast or a video you upload (MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 10 GB), between 5 and 480 minutes long, and either required or optional. A video day is edited on the same timeline as an automated webinar: offers, polls and handouts appear at the second you choose, plus a button on to the next day or back to their hub.

  • Fixed dates or evergreen

Fixed dates put the whole group on one calendar, each day opening at the date and time you set, in order. Evergreen starts each person on Day 1 the moment they register and unlocks one more day each day after that. The choice is locked once you publish.

  • Free, one price, or a price per day

With per-day pricing, visitors tick the days they want and pay once for that selection. A day priced at zero comes free with any paid day, but cannot be bought on its own. Paid events need a connected Stripe or Tap account. Buyers pay by card through Stripe or Tap, depending on the currency and the accounts you connected. A price in Kuwaiti dinars can be paid by KNET inside Tap's checkout when your Tap account offers it; when a separate KNET account takes the payment instead, KNET is the only way to pay for that event. Each buyer's unpaid days stay locked for them.

  • Progress, completion and a certificate

Someone completes the event by attending every required day, live or by watching later. A day can also require a set share watched, such as 80%. Completing issues a certificate with its own credential ID, which the attendee can save as a PDF, add to LinkedIn, or share through a public verify link.

  • A hub for every attendee

Each person gets a hub showing what is next, their progress through the required days, and every day marked Completed (with Rewatch when it has a replay), Watch or Locked. On fixed-date events, a live day also shows Join while it is on and, if nobody recorded it, shows as ended with no replay afterwards; anyone who falls behind is pointed to a catch-up view with the missed days they can still watch and how long catching up takes. A Manage link lets them change their email or timezone, have their confirmation email with their links sent again (while that email is switched on), or cancel, with no account to create.

Reminders for every day

Seven standard emails run the event for you. For event days they replace the normal webinar reminders, so nobody gets two sets. Moving a live day moves its reminders and emails everyone registered the new time, and a cancelled registration gets a cancellation email.

EmailWhen it sends
ConfirmationThe moment someone registers, or pays for a paid event.
ReceiptAfter a paid registration.
Day reminder24 hours before each day starts. On evergreen events, the moment each day after Day 1 unlocks.
Starting in 1 hourOne hour before each day, on fixed-date events.
Live nowAt a live day's scheduled start time, on fixed-date events.
Missed a day30 minutes after a day's scheduled end, to anyone who did not attend it.
Completion and certificateWhen someone completes every required day.

Switch any of the seven except the receipt off in the wizard, and reword them once for your account under Automations, in your default emails. The Live now email goes out at the scheduled time whether or not you have gone live, so start each live day on time.

Your attendees, in your CRM

Every registrant becomes a contact in your account, one per email address, tagged with the event. Each day plays in the regular Webinly webinar room, so attendance and watch milestones land on that contact and move their engagement score. The webinar CRM and customer data platform pages cover scores and segments.

Each event has four tabs: Overview, Days, Registrations and Analytics. Registrations lists everyone enrolled with the required days they have completed and a status: in progress, completed or at risk (cancelled places show when you filter for them). Filter by status or payment, search, and export to CSV. Analytics shows enrollments over time, attended against completed for each day, and paid revenue.

Preview as attendee opens the public page in a new tab under a preview bar. A published event stays online while you edit it, but once anyone enrolled opens their hub or watches a day, no day can be removed or moved; make it optional instead. Settle the days and their order before you share the link.

Who can use it

Multi-day events are part of the Scale plan, at $349 a month. Starter and Pro see an upgrade prompt instead of the builder. Prices and fees are on the pricing page.

What it does not do

No parallel tracks. Each day is one session, so a summit runs its talks one after another.

Live-day replays are not automatic. The Events screens have no recording setting, so a live day has a replay only if its broadcast is recorded. Start the recording from the control room once you are live and leave it running until you end, since a broadcast gets one recording.

Live days are run from your webinar list. The Events screens set a live day's date, time, length and completion point. You go live from its broadcast in your webinar list, like any live webinar, and write and throw its offers, polls and handouts there; the Events screens set those up only on video days.

Per-day choices are made once. A per-day buyer picks their days on the event page and pays for them in one checkout. Adding more days to the same registration later is not supported.

No custom questions, and English only. The registration form takes a name and email, and the attendee pages and default emails are in English.

Refunds are yours to issue. Cancelling a paid registration does not refund it. The cancellation email tells a paid attendee so and to contact you to ask for a refund; any refund you agree to, you issue from your payment account.

Common questions

What is a multi-day virtual event?
An online program delivered over several days, such as a 5-day challenge, a masterclass series or a virtual summit. People register once, get the whole schedule, and come back each day.
How do I run a 5-day challenge online?
Promise one result, give each day one session of 30 to 60 minutes and one task, send a reminder before every day, give people who miss a day a way to catch up, and open your offer on day five. In Webinly you build all five days in one wizard, and one registration covers every day.
Can I charge for a multi-day event?
Yes. Charge one price for the whole event, or a price per day so buyers pick the days they want. Paid events need a connected Stripe or Tap account, and days a buyer has not paid for stay locked for them.
What happens when someone misses a day?
Thirty minutes after the day ends they get a missed-day email. If the day has a replay, the email links to it, and watching it still counts toward completion. A video day can be watched after its date; a live day has a replay only if you recorded its broadcast from the control room. If a live day was not recorded, the email says there is no replay and links to their hub. On fixed-date events, the hub points anyone who falls behind to a catch-up view of the days they can still watch.
