Zoom Webinar Cost 2026: Price by Capacity, an Alternative
· 8 min read · Webinly team
A Zoom webinar has two prices. The one on the page is the webinar license, from $89 a month, sold by how many people the room can hold. The one you discover later is everything the license does not cover: the page that sells the session, the reminders that get people there, the checkout for the offer, and the follow-up after the room closes.
This page gives the Zoom numbers as they stand, what Zoom Events adds, what the pricing page lists and leaves out, and the cost of the same webinar in Webinly, where the room, the page, the checkout and the follow-up are one plan. It also says what Webinly does not do.
How much does a Zoom webinar cost in 2026?
Zoom Webinars costs $89 a month billed monthly, or $66.67 a month billed annually, for the base attendee capacity, read on 25 October 2026 on Zoom's events pricing page. Webinars Plus is $99 a month or $82.50 annually, and Zoom Events is $149 or $124.17. Bigger rooms cost more, because every tier is priced by attendee capacity, and the page does not list the capacity steps.
For the steps you have to lean on secondary sources, so treat these as about, not as Zoom's price: about $79 to $140 a month for a 500 attendee room, and about $340 a month, around $3,400 a year, per license for 1,000 attendees. The same sources say a paid Zoom license is needed underneath. Before you compare that with a live webinar platform that prices by the account, get the exact figure for your capacity from Zoom.
- Webinars: $89 a month, or $66.67 billed annually, base capacity. Q&A, polls, Basic confirmation and reminder emails, Basic ticketing, basic analytics exported as CSV.
- Webinars Plus: $99 a month, or $82.50 billed annually.
- Events: $149 a month, or $124.17 billed annually. Advanced ticketing.
- Across the products: up to 30 hours per webinar and up to 100,000 attendees.
Zoom Events vs Zoom Webinar: what the extra $60 buys
On the pricing page the visible difference is ticketing: Basic on Webinars, Advanced on Events. Q&A and polls are on all three products, confirmation and reminder emails are listed as Basic on Webinars, and analytics is a basic export to CSV. The limits are shared: 30 hours per webinar, 100,000 attendees across the products.
So the choice is about ticketing. If your sessions are free, or you sell the ticket somewhere else, Webinars at $89 is the one to price. If you sell tickets, Events at $149 is the tier, and the capacity price sits on top in both cases.
What the license does not include
The gaps are the second bill. The Zoom page lists Q&A, polls, basic reminder emails, basic ticketing and a CSV export. It does not list a registration page builder that carries your offer, a checkout inside the room, a contact record for each registrant, follow-up that depends on who watched, or WhatsApp.
In Webinly those parts are the plan. Every plan, Starter included, builds the registration page from blocks or a template, sends the confirmation and reminders at 24 hours, 3 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes and 5 minutes before, runs the replay page, turns every registrant into a contact record, and opens a checkout inside the room on Stripe or Tap. The offer card carries a countdown when you give it a deadline, and buyers pay without leaving the broadcast.
The honest limits. Starter at $39 is automated only, and live broadcasting starts on Pro at $159. Webinly sends no SMS: reminders go by email, and by WhatsApp once a WhatsApp Business number is connected through Meta's sign-up window. List broadcasts are an add-on from $29 for 10,000 emails; the webinar's own emails are included.

How to run your next Zoom webinar in Webinly
Nothing to install: you broadcast from the browser, co-hosts join from a private link, and attendees watch from the link in their emails.
- 1Pick the format. Going live? Pro at $159. Running a recording? Starter at $39, one automated webinar at a time, on a schedule or Always on, where each visitor gets a session minutes after arriving.
- 2Build the registration page in the wizard, from a template or from blocks, with name and email as the default fields. On Pro, the AI page builder drafts it from a few answers.
- 3Check the emails step: confirmation, the five reminders and the follow-ups are on by default and editable per webinar. Connect WhatsApp and anyone who registered with a phone number but misses the start gets their watch link there.
- 4Write the offer: thrown from the control room at the pitch on a live webinar, pinned to the second on an automated one. A deadline gives it a countdown, and Stripe or Tap puts the money in your own account.
- 5Turn on Record the broadcast before you go live. The replay plays at the same link once processed, attendees and no-shows get different follow-up emails, and the recording can become an automated webinar at the same link.
- 6After the session, open the webinar's Analytics tab: show-up rate, where people dropped off, who saw the offer, who opened checkout, and revenue per registrant, split by UTM campaign.
Who should keep Zoom Webinars?
Hosts with a room Webinly does not hold: Zoom lists up to 100,000 attendees across its products, while Webinly's largest included room is 1,000 on Scale and one room tops out at 2,900 people. Hosts whose sessions run many hours: Zoom's ceiling is 30 hours per webinar, and Webinly meters a month of live time, 12,000 attendee-minutes on Pro and 36,000 on Scale, where a 60 minute webinar with 100 people watching all the way through is 6,000. Teams whose webinars are internal and sell nothing. And anyone who needs a meeting rather than a webinar: Webinly is not a meeting tool, and there is no round table where everyone is on camera.
Can I keep Zoom and use Webinly for the pages and follow-up?
Partly, and the integrations page draws the line. It lists Stripe, Tap and Tabby, GoHighLevel, Teachable, Google Calendar, ad pixels and signed webhooks; it does not list Zoom, and there is no Zapier app. So a Webinly registration page can collect your registrants, send the confirmation and reminders and turn each one into a contact, and the New registration webhook can carry each signup to a tool of yours.
What breaks is the half that makes webinar follow-up worth having. Webinly records what happens inside Webinly: attendance, watch milestones, reaching the pitch, opening the checkout. A room on Zoom sends none of that back, so the attended and no-show split, the scores and the automations that fire on behaviour have nothing to read.
What it costs at your size
Up to 100 people: Zoom Webinars at $89 a month for the base capacity, plus the paid Zoom license secondary sources say sits underneath. Webinly Pro at $159, with the room of 300, the checkout, the CRM and the follow-up in the one price.
500 people: secondary sources put Zoom at about $79 to $140 a month. In Webinly a 500 person hour is 30,000 attendee-minutes, above Pro's 12,000, so that size belongs on Scale at $349, with rooms of 1,000 and 36,000 attendee-minutes a month; a live room of 500 is where Zoom's sticker is lower.
1,000 people: secondary sources put Zoom at about $340 a month, about $3,400 a year, per license. Webinly Scale is $349 a month or $3,490 a year, with rooms of 1,000, 10 co-hosts and multi-day events. Every plan and add-on is on the pricing page, per account, co-hosts included.
Frequently asked
How much does a Zoom webinar license cost?
Zoom Webinars is $89 a month billed monthly or $66.67 a month billed annually for the base capacity. Webinars Plus is $99 or $82.50, Zoom Events $149 or $124.17. Bigger capacities cost more; the page does not list the steps, and secondary sources put 1,000 attendees at about $340 a month per license.
Do I need a paid Zoom plan on top of the webinar license?
Secondary sources say yes: the webinar license is an add-on to a paid Zoom plan, so the real monthly figure is the two together. Zoom's pricing page lists only the webinar prices, so confirm it with Zoom before you budget. In Webinly the live room is inside Pro at $159, per account, co-hosts included.
Zoom Events vs Zoom Webinar: what is the difference?
Price and ticketing. Zoom Webinars is $89 a month with Basic ticketing and Basic confirmation and reminder emails; Zoom Events is $149 with Advanced ticketing. Q&A and polls are on both, analytics is a basic CSV export, and the limits are shared: up to 30 hours per webinar and up to 100,000 attendees across the products.
Can I sell inside a Zoom webinar?
The pricing page lists ticketing, Basic on Webinars and Advanced on Events, which is a paid seat. It does not list a checkout inside the room for an offer you pitch. In Webinly the offer opens a checkout in the room on Stripe or Tap with a countdown, and an automated webinar can add an order bump.
What is a cheaper alternative with a live room?
On the sticker, Zoom's base price is lower: $89 against Webinly Pro at $159. Webinly's $159 includes the registration page, five reminders, the checkout, the CRM, automations and WhatsApp, for one account. At 1,000 attendees, secondary sources put Zoom at about $340 a month; Webinly Scale is $349 with rooms of 1,000.
Can I keep Zoom and use Webinly for the pages and follow-up?
Partly. Webinly's integrations page lists no Zoom connection. Its registration page, reminders and contact records work on their own, and a webhook can send each signup to your tools. But Webinly records only what happens inside Webinly, so attendance, watch time and purchases from a Zoom room never reach the contact or the follow-up.
